3 Proven Ways to Instantly Increase Visibility and Attract Clients

Get busloads of traffic with SEO

Increasing visibility and putting your business on Front Street is key to attracting more clients.  If people can’t find your services, how will they ever be able to hire you?   There are three main areas I coach my clients on when helping them promote their company to attract new business.

1. First, it’s imperative to have a website that is searchable.  Hands down, the number 1 website platform to be on is WordPress.  Google absolutely loves WordPress sites, and just by converting your current outdated website to a shiny new WordPress layout you could dramatically increase your search engine ranking overnight.

Search engine optimization requires more than just having a WordPress site, but WP makes it easy to get all of the other elements in place.  Using the keywords that your prospective clients would use on your site is imperative also.  It’s also important to understand the basics of blogging and link building to optimize your site.  Consulting with an SEO expert for a couple of hours is an investment that can pay you back multiple times over by turning your stagnant site into a lead generation machine.

2. One excellent way to create powerful incoming links to your site and lead potential customers right to you is by writing press releases. Press releases which include your keywords and are placed on high traffic websites can send a lot of traffic to your site in a hurry.  Write a press release for every news worthy event your business takes part in, such as events, program launches, launching a new website, or landing a high profile contract or client.

3. Article marketing is a marketing strategy that most internet marketers count as being among the most effective of online marketing strategies.  Placing articles on high page rank websites can infuse a lot of Google Juice to your site in a hurry, plus cash in on your choice of keywords.  Potential clients view article authors with a lot of credibility and can be regarded as a warm lead when they are interested enough to click through to your website.  Articles can become highly ranked and can stay in places years after you’ve written and posted them which can result in years worth of leads and backlinks.

With 2010 winding down, which of these three strategies did you make the most of this year?  Consider adding these strategies to your 2011 marketing plan and ramp up your marketing and your profits in 2011.

If you have any questions or comments, please leave me a comment below.  Leaving comments on blogs is the fourth best way to increase your visibility and create powerful backlinks to your website.  Then notice how I pay it forward to everyone who leaves me a comment. 🙂

  1. The Secret to Workplace Success
November 4, 2010 By cherylheppard Leave a Comment

Michigan corporate wellness The number one indicator of workplace success is attitude. Nearly every work-related publication agrees. Nearly every manager points the way to attitude as the key indicator of success for employees.

It’s hard to have a good attitude when you:

    · Feel bad about the way you look

    · Have low energy levels

    · Feel sick

    · Feel constantly hungry

    · Are not sleeping well—perhaps because of weight related problems like sleep apnea

    · Grow tired simply walking from one end of the office to the other

    · Have more stress in your life due to fatigue, irritability, depression, cancer, diabetes, heart failure, chronic pain, chronic fatigue—all of which are linked to obesity

Your attitude can also affect your health. The two are interdependent. As your attitude gets worse, your health habits can also become worse as you just don’t “feel like” doing the things it takes to take care of yourself—whether that is cooking a healthy meal vs. going to McDonalds or exercising.

This is one reason why we say that your health is a key indicator in your workplace success.

The next is that you need to have a lot of energy to keep up with the demands of today’s workplace. It is no secret that fewer employees are being asked to take on more work. The hours are longer. The stresses are increasing. Without a good store of healthy energy it will be impossible for you to tackle these challenges long. Stress, fatigue, tension headaches, muscle tension, and chronic illness are the most likely result.

Finally, you have to be sharp to succeed in today’s workplace. Important transactions can sometimes ride on simple human error. Today’s workplace has become extremely cut throat, and while you might not lose your job over a simple mistake, you might. That stress and knowledge will affect your performance. It can certainly affect your success—your chances of getting promoted, of landing that big client, of taking more market share.

Health is an investment that directly impacts your monetary and career wellbeing. Make the investment today.

  3. Thanks for the comment luv Shaunna! WordPress is such a fantastic platform, I find new reasons to love it every day. This month I’ve had fun with the holiday plugins. 🙂

  4. Hi Allison, Even if you just post one quality article per week to an article distribution site with a high page rank, that is at least 52 killer backlinks to your website and opportunities to bring in traffic. I applaud you for including article writing into your marketing plan.

  5. I know consistency counts with article marketing. Do you think you need to get more than one or two quality article out there a week?

  6. Great tips Cheryl! I switched to a word press website this year and that made a HUGE difference. A big instant increase in global traffic from this one change alone. I enjoyed your press release kit and plan to implement in early 2011. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

  7. These tips make so much sense. Thank you for posting. My goal is to launch a WordPress site and blog in the near future. I also appreciate the advice you gave me on article writing recently.
